The Town of Spindale, in collaboration with the United Methodist Church and many generous community partners, has officially opened a cutting-edge skateboard park and bicycle pump track on property donated by the church to the Town. Adjacent to the Thermal Belt Rail Trail, North Slope Park revitalizes a once-vacant 1.6-acre parcel in the heart of Spindale’s central business district and now serves as a vibrant recreation destination for residents and visitors.
Construction is now complete on the Town of Spindale’s new skatepark and pump track at the intersection of Church and Steward Streets, with the official ribbon cutting held this week. Designed for efficient use of space, the park features a 7,500-sqft skatepark, an asphalt pump track, and a 20'×20' picnic shelter. Modern restrooms with bike parking provide a convenient respite along the Thermal Belt Rail Trail, and ADA-compliant sidewalks ensure the entire space is accessible to all.
